American Dream Holiday Diary

Well we are halfway through our holiday and having a lovely time. Weather has been very warm and muggy. We began the holiday in New Orleans, where we went on a paddle steamer up the Mississippi. We also went up Bourbon street. On another day we went to a swamp where we met with some very large Alligators in the wild, our guide even stroked one We then went to Tupelo, where we saw the house where Elvis was born, which was a very small, it only had 2 rooms.

Yesterday went to see Gracelands in Memphis, where Elvis lived most of his life. We saw where he was buried, along with his Mother's, Father's and Grandmother's graves. We also saw his cars and aeroplanes, and lots of his clothes. We learned a lot about Elvis and his life. We are staying at the Heartbreak Hotel in Lonely road Memphis. There are lots of Elvis films on the TVs in this hotel.

Today we are going to Sun studios, where Elvis did his first recording..
