2011 (Week 4)
By Claire Cheeseman and Stephen Elks
Claire
says she arrived at the Laguna and looked at her room and her bathroom
and although she did not have all the right bars she could manage with
our help. She would like to try the swimming pool.
After dinner we had a quiz and bingo.
On Monday, Claire's
birthday, we went to the wild life and we could touch the deer and one
of them ate Wendy's shirt and Peter's shoelace.
We had a picnic for
our lunch. After we had been to the gift shop we had a drink
in the cafe In the evening Claire had a birthday cake and every one sang
to her then we danced the night away and Stephen sang on the stage.
On Tuesday some people went
on a boat trip and the others did a shopping trip.
On Wednesday we planned a day on the beach
but the weather was not too good so we to the country museum where we
saw old cars and air men and a dairy and we had lunch in the cafe, then
we went into the new forest and saw lots of ponies.
In the evening we went to the abba show and
it was wonderful. We danced and Claire went to the front of the stage
and sang into the mike.
Thursday it rained so hard the roads were
closed so the hotel put on a film show. Then we went to Haskins for tea.
As usual we danced all night Friday.
We went to Norchard and caught a steam train
into Swanage. We all had chips on the beach. And it was lovely and sunny
Our last night of dancing.
Claire should go home tomorrow but she liked
her holiday so much she decided to stay another week.
On Saturday we went for a drive then we did
a bit of shopping and had coffee out and then we had another drive and
had lunch in a garden centre.
On Sunday some of us went to church then we
had lunch and waited for the new group to arrive. Claire said 'I love it
here you are all wonderful". |
