Not as excessively hot as the south, Northern Portugal has a lot to offer with a pleasant climate. We will be staying at the local, traditional Hotel Contriz, where we are well known by the management and staff.

A sightseeing holiday, while enjoying the sun, our itinery will probably include a visit to the pilgrim centre Bom Jesus, the lovely walled city of Valenca on the Spanish borders. We hope to walk along the ancient bridge at Ponte Lima and visit local markets.

Our nightlife, based around our hotel, will include BBQs with local dancers, trying some of the famous Port wine and learn how it is made from one of the famous Port Houses in the city of Porto. A holiday for those who like to be on the go day and night, this holiday is not for the faint-hearted.
