Welcome to Options Holidays, a not-for-profit
organisation running escorted traditional-style holidays for adults
with learning difficulties.
We run holidays throughout the year, in the UK, the Mediterranean
and far-away places. All our holidays are different, aiming to meet
our clients’ desires – sight seeing, relaxing by the pool or beach,
evening entertainment, learning about the local area and cultures,
theatre outings, excursions. Once on holiday our clients are
involved in deciding the type and nature of the outings and
activities they would like to do.
Our carers are available to the clients at all times. The prices
shown are for clients with a mild learning disability, with general
supervision. For those in wheelchairs (and for those who need extra
care) there will be an additional charge which depends on the
client’s requirements. This is to cover the extra relevant costs.

The normal ratio is one member of staff to four or five clients, but
a one-to-one support can be arranged.
The price of the holiday includes everything: meeting at the airport
or hotel, sorting out medication, passports, luggage etc, flights,
transfers, bed and breakfast with an evening meal and a packed
lunch. We have trips out most days where transport and entrances are
included. Most holidays include a show of some sort, and a meal out.
Drinks are included with breakfast only; all other drinks are at the
holidaymaker’s expense, as are souvenirs, gifts, postcards (we help
with writing them, if necessary) and other personal items.
In general we need at least six clients on a holiday for it to run,
although this is not always the case. As soon as we have received
six deposits for a holiday, we will proceed with making the
arrangements. We cannot finalise a holiday until all deposits have
been received. Sometimes, but rarely, we have to cancel a holiday.
If this is the case and you have paid your deposit or full payment
and if we cannot provide an alternative, suitable holiday, we will
give you a refund.
However, if for any reason, you are unable to attend a holiday once
a holiday has been finalised, your deposit/payment is not
refundable.
Please be assured that most of our holidays do go ahead, but dates,
destinations, venues and activities listed in our holiday
descriptions, are subject to change and not guaranteed.
Transport
Please note that transport to and from our holidays is not included.
However, on some of our holidays transport may be available, but is
not guaranteed.
