Snowdon
"Well we’ve finished. We went up Snowden today taking the
Pyg route (Wendy called it the pig route – with feeling!)
and then we returned by the miners route. The weather was
glorious, wall to wall sunshine. So on this trip we have had
rain, hail, snow, high winds, sunshine – the lot! Thank you
God for showing us the wonders of your creation, but you
could have waited until we were indoors for most of it!
Well bore you with most of the photos when we get back, but
the attached one shows something of the scenery today.
See you soon
Geraint & Wendy
PS your prayers for the aching limbs were answered – in the
negative! Thanks God for Ibuprofen." |

Scafell Pike
"Well, we achieved getting to the top of Scafell Pike, so
that 1&7/8ths mountains. The weather was not bad for our
ascent, some rain and hail showers, but nothing like we had
on the top of Ben Nevis. Just as cold though. No snow
thankfully, just a few pockets here and there. Celebrated
the conquest (and my birthday) later by walking to the pub
which is about ½ mile from our camp site.. I attach some
photos again, hope you enjoy them, but I’m not going up
again this year to retake them so they look better.
Aim to climb Snowden on Tuesday, which if we achieve it will
mean we have climbed all three within the week Keep praying
for us (especially the legs which need a bit of prayer
support now!)" |

Ben Nevis
"Got to within 200 m of summit,
but found deep snow (25 feet according to the ranger) and as
it then decided to snow again we turned back with other
people. We may be mad but are not yet certifiable!
Next stop Scafell Pike – better luck, and weather we hope" |
