Saturday 7th August

We all met up today and were really excited for our holiday to Tenby! We got to know one another and settled into our accommodation.

Sunday 8th August

We started the day off with a delicious breakfast before heading off enthusiastically for our first activity. We went on a boat trip today; everyone was impressed by how big it was! We got loads of great photos out in the water and we all had a great time. Later on, we had a fantastic evening of singing and dancing, Carole certainly loves to boogie!

Monday 9th August

The whole group had a lovely day walking around Tenby, he had ice cream and ate it outside St Mary’s Church. Next, we walked down to the harbour for lunch, but it started to rain so we all took shelter under the youth club umbrellas! Luckily the sun soon came out and we were even able to go for a paddle at the beach, what a rollercoaster! After a lovely evening meal, we danced and had a good sing song, it was great fun.

Tuesday 10th August

A trip to the Manor Wildlife Park was on the cards for today. There were lots of lovely animals to see and meet; we got to feed the wallabies, stroke the rabbits and walk with the lemurs! Seeing such a wide range of exotic animals, like camels, zebras, rhino’s and tigers was magnificent and made the trip feel really special. We had a great night’s evening entertainment tearing up the dance floor, before we all headed to bed for a good night’s sleep.

Wednesday 11th August

We shopped till we dropped today, everyone found something to please them in the quaint and interesting shops in and around Tenby. With a little drizzle we found ourselves in the Old Market for lunch. Later in the evening, we played bingo and participated in a quiz to round off this quiet and relaxing day.

Thursday 12th August

With some lovely weather today, we decided to take the train down to Heatherton World of Activities for a spot of golf. We played all 18 holes of pitch and put golf, the course was amazing and great fun was had by all. In the evening we had another lovely meal, before enjoying ourselves with a great night of dancing.

Friday 13th August

First thing in the morning we walked over to the RNIB launch house. There were lots of things to see along the harbour, we managed to see some beautiful boats, people paddleboarding and kids trying to catch crabs! We decided to hire a few deck chairs and spent the day on the beach, soaking up the sun. There was lots of singing and dancing on our last evening, with everyone making the most out of their holiday and having a fantastic time.

Saturday 14th August

Sadly, today was time for us all to travel home. We’ve made great friends and some amazing memories, and we really enjoyed our trip to Tenby!
